Group Consciousness, Identity and Perceptions of Unfair Police Treatment among Mexican Americans

Abstract

Purpose textendash{} The purpose of this paper is to explore the relationship between global and specific attitudes of unfair police treatment towards Mexican Americans and how attitudes towards the police vary with socio-demographic characteristics, victim status, linguistic barriers, group consciousness and socially disorganized contexts.
